Chitkara University embarked on its educational journey during the Academic Year 2008-09, following the enactment of the Chitkara University (Establishment and Regulation) Act (Act No. 2 of 2009) by the Himachal Pradesh Legislature. We take pride in our status as a government-recognized institution, holding accreditation from NAAC, and possessing the authority to confer degrees in accordance with Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. Additionally, we are honored to be a member of the prestigious Association of Indian Universities.
