The inception of Dev Sanskriti University traces back to the recognition of the divine spiritual vibrations of this place by Kulmata, Bhagwati Devi Sharma (1926-1994). Her Holiness Vandaniya Mata ji experienced the awakened spiritual energy of this sacred land during the Shraddhanjali Samaroh event held in 1990. Subsequently, this land was acquired, and construction work commenced after the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony on May 23, 1999. Dev Sanskriti Mahavidylaya was thus established. The institution achieved the status of 'Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya' through an act passed by the state legislature on January 22, 2002, and formally notified in the gazette via notification no. (123/vidhayi & sansadiya karya/2002 dated 11-4-2002).
The university holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India under section 2(F) of the 1956 act, and it has received ISO 9001:2015 certification. Moreover, the institution has been accredited by NAAC, further underscoring its commitment to excellence in education and spiritual growth.
