The Vocational Education Foundation Trust, with over four decades of expertise in computer education in India, established the IEC Group of Institutions' Greater Noida campus in 1999. IEC University, on the other hand, was founded by the Himachal Pradesh State Legislature under "The IEC University Act" of 2012.
Located 30 kilometers from Chandigarh, along the Pinjore-Nalagarh National Highway at Atal Shiksha Nagar, Kallujhanda, the university campus is strategically positioned, equidistant from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Nalagarh, and Solan.
Spanning across 14.5 acres and nestled at the foothills of the picturesque Shivalik Mountains, the university campus provides an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. IEC University, recognized by the government, holds the authority to confer degrees in accordance with Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Furthermore, it has earned approval and recognition from various statutory bodies, including the Bar Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, and Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
