The origins of IIHMR University can be traced back to October 5, 1984, when the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was founded. In 2014, IIHMR University came into existence and was formally established as a postgraduate research university through the enactment of the IIHMR University, Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3 of 2014) by the Government of Rajasthan. Notably, IIHMR University holds recognition as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
