Indus International University is established by the Kartha Education Society (Mumbai), a part of the multinational Knowledgucate Group of Institutions headquartered in the UAE.
Knowledgucate Group is the owner and operator of a wide range of educational institutions, including playschools, K-12 schools, pre-university colleges, undergraduate and postgraduate degree colleges, as well as a university in India. The group also manages educational institutions in the UAE and the United Kingdom, and it offers programs in the online education space.
Indus International University (IIU) is founded under the Establishment and Regulation Act of 2009 by the Himachal Pradesh Government, granting it the authority to confer degrees in accordance with sections 2f and 22 of the UGC Act of 1956.
