Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya was founded in May 2007 under the Gujarat State Government Act 21 of 2007. It received official recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 19, 2009 (reference F. 9-18/2008(cpp-1)).
The establishment of this university was initiated by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, driven by a set of distinct objectives:
- To offer education that aligns with the current needs and demands of society, with a focus on courses that are contemporary and relevant.
- To strive for excellence in education and research, contributing to the growth of the economy through research-based activities.
- To ensure that education is accessible to all, without any discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, or other factors.
Currently, the university boasts 19 constituent colleges and departments located in Gandhinagar and Kadi.
