Established in 2011, Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur, holds the distinction of being Rajasthan's first Private Medical University. It was formed through a legislative act and enjoys recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The India Education Trust, founded in 1999 by the renowned Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist Dr. M.L. Swarankar, serves as the Sponsoring Body of the University. Notably, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital (MGH) was officially inaugurated on 2nd October 2000.
