The inception of Plaksha dates back to 2015 when a group of friends engaged in a conversation regarding the necessary evolution of technology education. Comprising primarily entrepreneurs and business leaders, this collective shared a vision to revolutionize the realm of engineering and technology education, both in India and globally.
In 2017, they established the Reimagining Higher Education Foundation, a Section 8 not-for-profit organization, with the purpose of transforming their vision into a tangible plan. This foundation was the driving force behind the mission.
In February 2019, the groundbreaking ceremony for Plaksha University's campus in Mohali marked a pivotal moment in their journey. The objective was to inaugurate the campus by August 2021, solidifying their commitment to reshaping the landscape of higher education.
