Under the dynamic leadership of Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji, the Sant Baba Bhag Singh Memorial Charitable Society has been actively contributing to the betterment of communities residing near Dera Sant Pura Jabbar, adjacent to Adampur Doaba, in the Jalandhar District. Their efforts have included the construction of bridges and roads, as well as the installation of street lights in nearby villages, among other essential infrastructure projects.
The Society's commitment to education began with the establishment of the SBBS Institute of Engineering & Technology in 2003, followed by the creation of the SBBS International School in 2004. This educational journey continued with the inception of the SBBS Institute of Education (2005), SBBS Institute of Nursing (2005), SBBS Research & Development Centre (2010), SBBS Post Graduate College (2011), and SBBS Public School in Binjon (2011). In addition, rural healthcare services have been provided through the Guru Nanak Sadh Sangat Charitable Hospital in Kalra since 2003.
Driven by the vision to empower every child with education, knowledge, and wisdom, enabling them to lead a happy, successful, and purposeful life, all these educational institutions collectively evolved into Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. The university was established through the enactment of the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Act in 2014.
