Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences (SGRDUHS), located in Sri Amritsar, Punjab, stands as an exceptional academic institution dedicated to cultivating exemplary professionals in the fields of medicine, nursing, healthcare, academia, and research.
SGRDUHS holds the status of a State Private University, as declared on August 19, 2016, through ordinance no. 7/2016. This designation was granted under the Punjab Private University Policy of 2010 and was established in accordance with Punjab Act no. 43 of 2016.
Comprising three integral components, SGRDUHS includes the Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SGRDIMSAR), the Sri Guru Ram Das College of Nursing (SGRDCON), and the Sri Guru Ram Das Rotary Cancer Institute (SGRDRCI). These institutions have their roots in the Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital, established in 1977, followed by the Medical and Cancer Institutes in 1997 and the Nursing Institute in 2001. These endeavors have been overseen by the Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital Trust in Sri Amritsar.
