The Assam Royal Global University, commonly known as RGU, stands as the fifth private educational institution in the state of Assam and holds the esteemed title of being the number one private university in the region. This prestigious institution, falling under the Royal Group of Institutions, was formally established through the enactment of The Assam Royal Global University Bill, which was duly passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly and subsequently received the assent of the Honorable Governor of Assam.[1] The official recognition of The Assam Royal Global University Act, 2013 was also published in the Assam Gazette by the government.
Situated in the serene locality of Betkuchi, opposite the Balaji Temple in Guwahati, the university provides a conducive environment for academic pursuits. At the helm of RGU's leadership, Mr. A.K. Pansari serves as the chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh holds the esteemed position of vice-chancellor, and Mr. A.K. Modi serves as the pro chancellor.
