Established under the UPES Act, 2003, by the State Legislature of Uttarakhand, UPES stands as a prominent and UGC-recognized private university. In the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for 2023 by the Ministry of Education, India, UPES has secured an impressive overall rank of 52. Specifically, it achieved a rank of 54 in the field of engineering and an impressive rank of 39 in the domain of management.
Furthermore, UPES has earned notable recognition on the global stage, ranking 243rd in Asia and earning the distinction of being the 3rd best private university in India according to the QS World Rankings for 2023.
