Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University (VMSU) was founded in 2008 under the State Assembly Act No. 11 of 2008, enacted by the Government of Sikkim. The establishment of the university was officially recognized and documented in the Government of Sikkim Gazette.
Sponsored by the TKVTSS Medical Education & Charitable Trust, VMSU is dedicated to delivering high-quality education across a wide range of disciplines, including sciences, humanities, social sciences, medicine, dentistry, paramedicine, engineering, management, architecture, and more. This commitment is realized through the establishment of appropriate infrastructure conducive to the dissemination of higher education (HE), vocational education and training (VET), as well as industry-specific, employment-oriented programs. The ultimate goal is to nurture a skilled workforce at various levels, contributing to the comprehensive development of Sikkim and facilitating India's engagement with the global community as a provider of well-trained human resources worldwide.
